African Masks
We read the story Handa’s Surprise as part of our Africa Topic, we learnt that Africa is a continent and Handa (the little girl in the story) comes from the country Kenya. We looked at books and pictures and made our own masks using paper straws, pipe cleaners and feathers. The children used these masks in the role-play area, exploring more about Kenyan culture.
