Showcasing Practical Learning Year 5 Summer - PSHE
During the summer term, the children participated in the Looking For Callum Educational Theatre Programme where they were able to explore and understand sensitive topics within a safe environment. The purpose of the workshop was to empower the children to make decisions, which will safeguard them, and give them knowledge and skills such as how to ask for help and advice if needed in the future. Discussion and activities kept within the world of the play and the characters enabled our pupils to discuss and explore the issues safely, without having to reveal any personal experiences. They were thoroughly engaged throughout the play and workshop, and particularly enjoyed the opportunity to ‘hotseat’ as some of the characters.
