Year 3 stepped back in time to the Ancient Egyptian civilization to discover the magical sounds of the sistrum – a sacred musical instrument once played in temple rituals! In this exciting cross-curricular project, Year 3 used their knowledge of music, history, and design technology to investigate, plan and design their very own working sistrums. Using creative materials and a spark of imagination, they then made their own instruments before showcasing their creations in a spectacular ancient music performance!
