Geography Field Trip: Exploring Our Local Environment vs. the Rainforest!
As part of our Geography topic, Year 3 enjoyed an exciting field trip to Scatcherd Park where we explored our local area and made observations of the different trees, buildings, weather, the sounds we could hear, and the surrounding environment. We considered what we’ve learned about the lush, green rainforests and made comparisons: Are our trees as tall? Is the weather as wet? Do animals and plants live the same way here? Our photographs show us being nature detectives, spotting the differences and similarities between our local landscape and the amazing world of the rainforest!
