The School Council is a group formed each year at this time. There are 2 representatives from each year group, voted for by their classmates. There are 4 representatives from year 6, two of which take the positions of Chairperson and Secretary (they are the year 5 representatives from the previous year). This is so that the new council have a couple of experienced members to lead them through their year of office.
The School Council have been involved in making decisions about lunchtime arrangements, interviewing new members of staff and finding out information from children about issues relating to school, to name but a few!
The School Council meet once a month with the Deputy Head and/or the Learning Mentor.
